Fall in love with our work!
Maybe you just found our work or you’ve been checking out our stuff on Instagram and Facebook for years eagerly waiting for your own pet. Take a look at our pet galleries. Make sure that my style and editing fit you and what you love.
Let’s meet face to face!
Stop in for a beverage for our planning session. We prefer to conduct these in person so that we can meet the pets and the people. If necessary, we can also hop on Zoom or do an actual phone call. We will gather your idea, hopes and expectations to make your shoot as successful as possible. This plan will include where, when and what we are shooting; combined with any requests that you may have. At this time, we will schedule your session with our photographer, Bryan. He will put his 20+ years of experience into getting the best possible images.
Uh-Oh, what now?
So the date for your pet portrait is on the calendar, what’s next? Often during the period of time between your booking and the session, please don’t hesitate to contact us for our opinion about what goes together best and will be flattering on camera or what props you may want to use. We are always happy to provide this feedback as we want you to love your photos.
Puff, Poof and Floof!
Before your pet photography session, it’s essential to ensure your furry friend looks their best. Start by giving them a thorough bath and grooming, paying particular attention to any areas that may be visible in the photos. Trim their nails, clean their ears, and brush their teeth for a polished appearance.
Consider taking your pet to a professional groomer for expert styling if necessary. Additionally, ensure they’re wearing a clean collar or harness that complements the overall aesthetic of the photo shoot.
It’s Showtime!
We like to spend a few minutes just hanging out and letting your dog approach us rather than the other way around. We encourage clients to arrive a few minutes early as well and let their dogs explore and burn off a little energy.
We also prefer to let your dog approach us rather than the other way around. We don’t recommend running your dog before a session to tire them out, we don’t want a lolling tongue and a flagging dog. We prefer animation and variety – and let’s just put this out there right now – your dog does not need to be well-trained for us to capture terrific pictures of them!
There is no set number of photos taken during a session. Bryan will do what is necessary to make your pets look their absolute best.
Wrapping it all up!
After the session, it typically takes us 4 weeks to prepare the images for your review. We will schedule an in-person ordering appointment before you leave. You will be able to view your images and we will highlight the best images. They will be hand edited so that you are able to order your photos without any further delay.
